Larry Dawson
Founder
Larry Dawson is one of two co-founders of Envoy, Inc. Having served as Director of Project Development for 15 years with the preceding company, he restructured and assumed the leadership of Envoy in 1999.
A few years after taking over at Envoy, Larry began planning a succession of management. In 2004, Larry approached John Barbee with the opportunity to learn and grow under Larry's guidance while slowly phasing himself out of daily operations.
Beginning in 2008, Larry stepped down as President and passed control of Envoy's daily operations to John. Larry gracefully assumed a President Emeritus role, providing advice, guidance, and mentorship to the next generation of leadership at Envoy.
Larry instilled in the DNA of Envoy a culture of integrity, trust, and a commitment to excellence. All of us at Envoy are proud to carry this legacy in to the future.
