Hamilton County Jail Intake and Booking

New intake and booking area is a tall one-story, high security area masonry addition. Renovations include a new medical area and complete renovation of the kitchen. The new services center is a pre-engineered metal building that is finished out completely on one-half for tactical training and offices. The other half is a garage area for maintenance and storage.

Challenges

Renovating and adding on to the intake/booking area for an active jail. Complete relocation of booking to a different building and construction of a temporary, yet very secure walkway to the housing area of the jail. Shutting down a kitchen that feeds 900 meals a day and coordination in bringing in a temporary kitchen and all utilities to keep the operation running smoothly.

Relevancy

Addition gives the jail a larger and more secure booking area. New medical area gives the ability to treat inmates in house. New services center with 3 large garage bays for large equipment and vehicles. Renovated plumbing in jail cell areas. Added parking areas and access drives for the entire jail complex.
